Our adventure has been mindblowing, awe-inspiring and (on occasion) terrifying.

Imagine a country which is old world and romantic, in a landscape both rugged and wild. The best and worst of fairy tales brought to life – and alive it most certainly is.

When I get over the culture shock of homecoming and finally trawl through my horrendously large pile emails, I will tell you stories of eagle hunters, horseback riding, plague rats and kidnapped brides.

In the meantime, here is where we stayed:

The yut with the door closed? That’s where we slept.

That horse on the bottom right? That’s the one I rode.

And that person standing next to him? That’s my incredible mom.

Rakhmat, Kyrgyzstan, rakhmat.
